Hello parents and caregivers,

​

I am Joanne Lisik and I run Physical Story and Glee Club classes for Kids. I am a teacher, director, actor, dancer and singer.

 

I have been teaching for over fifteen years as a Fully Registered New Zealand Secondary School Drama Teacher. I completed my BA Hons Degree in Creative Arts at Bath Spa University in the UK and a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Musical Theatre. I then gained my teaching qualifications at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.

 

Before I moved to New Zealand, I ran two Stagecoach Theatre Arts school for Children based in Keynsham and Totterdown.  Later in New Zealand I worked as a teacher in  Drama, Dance and Art, in both Primary and Secondary Schools. I taught for many years at two private girls schools in the Capital city.

I am a performer and have worked in theatre as both an actor and director. I am also a trained singer having performed in many musical theatre shows, as well as a professional singer working in various bands and choirs. I currently sing at weddings and corporate events with Vocalworks Gospel Choir. 

 

I am is a mother to two young girls who love to move, sing and create! Facilitating my now five and nine year old girls creativity, and challenging their imagination is actually one of the reasons I started these classes, as I wanted them to do a class like Physical Stories and Glee Club!
